Sport Stock Rules
IF IT DOES NOT SAY IT IN THE RULES YOU CAN NOT DO IT!!!!!!!
Any 1975 or newer American made rear wheel drive car with a full frame or 110 inch uni-body or any 1975 and newer regular cab 2wd pickup. No Camaros or Mustangs or special performance models or police cars .Max Engine displacement, Chevy 350, Ford 351, Chrysler 360.
Engine and transmission and components must match vin tag and body tag, no removing of either. Drivers will take the vin # and body tag # go online and print out the vehicles option and have ready if the tech needs to review it. Drivers will be required to prove, that the vehicle came with the part in question.
No gutting of the vehicle, trunk and hood hinges must stay on the vehicle. Trunk and hood must be pinned. Remove all glass and trim, carpet, seats, Doors, tailgate, must be weld shut. Must remove the column lock and ignition switch and move it to the dash with in reach of the drive when in the seat and harnessed. A plastic boat gas tank in the trunk, tank must be bolted securely. Battery must be in the trunk above the rear axle, except truck battery and tank up front of the box.
No performance parts allowed. No wedging of springs or changing spring rates or ride handing shocks of any kind .OEM replaced parts only!! Napa ,Carquest
Used Hoosier E- mod 40 tires. Tread .235 or less, tires must be stamped. Air pressure 30 psi all four tires. Stock rims only
No posi or welding of spiders, open diff only. Must use stock ring and pinion. If the vehicle came with a posi that vehicle is not legal to run, has to come stock with an open diff. Driveshaft must be painted white. A driveshaft safety loop is required back of transmission tail housing.
No race fuels or additives, 91 non ethanol fuels only!
Automatic transmission only. No switches for locking and unlocking torque convertor.
2 or 4 barrel carburetor or efi, as long as it came on that model.
Drivers must have a complete fire suit, gloves and shoes, neck ring, Snell SA2000 or SA2005 SFI/FIA helmets.
Vehicles must have an aluminum racing seat and a 5 point harness, no older than 3 years old. A window net.
12) All vehicles must have 4 point roll bar mount on the frame and X braced and bolt threw the roof with 6 16 gauge pads on the top of the roof and driver side door bars no gutting of drivers door. Minimum of 1.666 O.D tubing, with a minimum wall thickness of .095, a low carbon or mild steel tubing. You can add more roll bars if you want as long as you don’t gut any of the vehicle interior structure.
13) Any vehicle that wins 3 feature races during the season, will be bought buy the Greenbush Race Park for $500.00 and auction off to the other drivers. Race seat, harness, fuel tank and battery, does not go with the vehicle. If you do not give up your car you will not run in this class again.
14) Must weight 3200lbs, top 3 in the heat will scale top 5 in the feature. If weight is needed, the weights will be in the trunk, inside of frame rails or in the pickup box above the rear wheels. Weights must be painted white. And bolted securely.
15) All cars a subject to tech inspection at anytime. Anything found illegal on the vehicle you will lose your points and pay for that race and must fix your car before competing again. Second time your done racing in this class for life.
16) A 500.00 claim for the top 1 in the feature, only by drivers in the class. Claim must be done during intermission with U.S cash only. Refusal of claim, your done in the class for life.
Race seat, harness, fuel tank and battery, does not go with the car.
The driver that gets the vehicle, must race the next race with that vehicle.
17)All vehicles will have a sheet of aluminum or steel on the right rear fender. It starts flush with rear of fender and goes to the rear quarter glass flush with the roof line. On cars about a 2 12 x 5 steel or aluminum same size on trucks make sure it’s fastened securely. Trucks from the cab back.
18) Must change clutch fans to a same size1 piece fan.
19) Rules are subject to change at any time.This class is going to be fun and affordable!!!!!! This class will be running on the track left or right depending on the coin toss at the drives meeting. Same thing in the heats. |
